For today I did have in mind a few weeks ago to be well on my way.
To bad, things did not work out that way. I have a great job, 6 continues
weeks of holiday would not have been a problem. If some things were
finished. As you can guess they were not. I already started my
holidays last week (the werchter festival). But I did have to come
back a few times to finalise stuff.
So by now my work is finished, but other problems are still there...
I did buy the camper in the past to be able to just get in and drive
away. Last year I did find out how much work it is to get a camper ready
(that takes two complete days). This year I did find out how much work it
is to get the rest of your life ready before you can leave it behind.
To this you can add some minor technical problems that I
wanted to be fixed before leaving (brake fluid level, temperature and
fuel meter did not work anymore).
And another problem: I planned to take
a boat from Rotterdam to Hull, then from Holyhead to Dublin. I did not make
reservations (I was not able to tell when I was ready to leave). But now,
the boat
is completely full today and tommorow, the zeebrugge-hull line of the same
operater is out of action. Therefore it is a bit more crowded then usual.
So tommorow I will finally leave. First to Helmond to get a new brake-fluid-level-sensor,
then off to Calais. Next to Dover and then find out how to get in Ireland!
